<image:title>Molly MacGilbert - Biography</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m a British-American writer and editor. My first feature “What else can I do but go on dreaming?” was published in the Portland State Vanguard in 2018 and earned a Collegiate Journalism Award for Best Feature Story. From 2018 to 2021, I wrote and edited stories about pop culture and current events for the national feminist magazine BUST, in print and online. From 2019 to 2021, I worked as a music journalist for Portland’s Pulitzer Prize-winning, alt-weekly newspaper Willamette Week. I continued my arts and culture journalism while writing for the NYC arts site IMPULSE. For the last five years, I have written lifestyle features for Medscape (WebMD’s site for healthcare professionals). Beyond journalism, I’ve written blog posts for Aura Frames and marketing content for brands and events including PATRÓN, Suntory Whisky, and the New York City Wine & Food Festival via VinePair. I’ve also supported the communications and marketing efforts of the nonprofit Literary Arts, the transportation agency TriMet, and the nonfiction book publisher Overcup Press. I love cats, carbs, beautiful cinematography, and comedy from my native Great Britain. (I also love alliteration.) I welcome your pitches, questions, and miscellaneous notes via the Contact form or directly to macgilbertmolly@gmail.com. ♡ photo by Allison Barr, 2026</image:caption>
